Ms. Jafari joined SBCS in September 2021. She is a Clinical Social Worker as well as a certified School Social Worker. Ms. Jafari graduated from University of Albany in 2004 with her Masters in Social Work. She has many years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. She has worked in outpatient counseling settings as well as schools. Along with providing counseling, Ms. Jafari has experience working in crisis intervention through a crisis hotline. She is knowledgeable about different resources in the community. Areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, trauma and ADHD. Ms. Jafari provides counseling to students dealing with school and adjustment issues (home or school) when it is impacting their education. She also provides 504/IEP counseling in school.
