Mrs. Taggart began at SBCS in August 2010. She has a Master of Science in School Counseling from Canisius College. Prior to coming to SBCS, Mrs. Taggart was a long-term counseling substitute at Hamburg CSD. She also served as the Program Director at Child & Family Services in the Community Residence for two years. Mrs. Taggart has expanded her role this year and will be presenting proactive social emotional lessons for all classrooms in Kindergarten - 5th grade. In addition, she works with students referred by parents and teachers for emotional or social skill building. Mrs. Taggart recognizes students through the Student of the Month and Student Royalty programs. Additionally, she coordinates with families and the community for the SBCS Christmas Assistance Program, Mental Health Night, Autism Awareness Month and is a member of the DEI Committee.
