You are about to access the Internet through wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet access operated by the South Buffalo Charter School. The purpose of the Service is to provide free guest wireless Internet access to visitors of the South Buffalo Charter School. You may use the School’s Wi-Fi only if you agree to the following terms of service each time you access the Guest Network.
The Service is a free public service provided by the South Buffalo Charter School. By using our Wi-Fi, you hereby acknowledge and agree that there are significant security, privacy and confidentiality risks inherent in accessing or transmitting information through a public internet connection.
Security issues include, without limitation, interception of transmissions, loss of data, and the introduction of viruses and other programs that can corrupt or damage your computer. This is an open wireless network, and no network communication is 100% secure. You agree and understand that the owner and/or provider of this network is NOT liable for any interception or transmissions, computer worms or viruses, loss of data, file corruption, hacking or damage to your computer or other devices that result from the transmission or download of information or materials through the internet service provided. Also note, all communication over the South Buffalo Charter School network is subject to filtering and monitoring.
Your access to the Service is completely at the discretion of the South Buffalo Charter School, and your access to the Service may be blocked, suspended, or terminated at any time for any reason including, but not limited to, violation of this Agreement, actions that may lead to liability for the South Buffalo Charter School, disruption of access to other users or networks, or violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- Sending, receiving or displaying offensive messages, media or other inappropriate or offensive language
- Harassing through e-mail pictures, instant messages or other forms of communication.
- Employing technology resources for commercial purposes.
- Violating copyright laws.
- Damaging and misusing technology resources and property belonging to South Buffalo Charter School.
- Sharing confidential information located on technology resources.
- Use of any technology resource in a method which results in unauthorized charges or exposure to the school.
- Excessive use of technology resources for personal use.
- Engaging in practices that may threaten or introduce a virus to the network.
- Any use which violates local, state or federal laws and regulations regarding technology resources.
The South Buffalo Charter School may revise the Terms of Use at any time. You must accept this Agreement each time you use the Service, and it is your responsibility to review it for any changes each time.
I understand and will abide by the South Buffalo Charter School Internet Use Agreement. I further understand that any violation of the regulations above is unethical and may constitute a criminal offense. Should I commit any violation, my access privileges may be revoked, School disciplinary action may be taken, and/or appropriate legal action.
