The primary function of the South Buffalo Charter School Library is to implement, enrich, and support the educational program of the school. The SBCS Library provides teachers and students of all grade levels with a diverse collection of over 7,000 fiction, non-fiction, and reference books. The library has recently been expanded to better meet the needs of our students. All students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 are encouraged to read books that they enjoy as well as to use books for research. Students in Grades 3 – 8 are allowed to take library books home and are responsible for returning them on time. Additional books cannot be taken out until books are returned or the replacement cost has been paid. All teacher and student requests for additional materials are encouraged and filled to the best of our ability.
