The mathematics curriculum at South Buffalo Charter School is aligned to the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards and is delivered through both math programs.
All math programs combine problem-based learning and visual learning to deepen students' conceptual understanding. They build on the proven effectiveness of supporting coherent, focused, and rigorous mathematics. All programs address the Next Generation Learning State Standards through problem solving, interactive experiences, and visual learning. Personalized math practice, built-in interventions, and customizable content deepen understanding and improve achievement. This series includes quizzes, end of topic assessments and benchmark assessments that are administered quarterly. Results are analyzed to help drive instruction, enrichment and re-teaching.
